Heartworms no big deal right?

Meet "Slim"

Slim thinks heartworms are a big deal......

Heartworm Disease killed Slim

The saddest thing about Slim's story is that his death was completly preventable...

One $5 pill per/month could have saved his life!

Slim was set to come into INKY Rottweiler rescue as a foster dog in March of 2006 from the caring people of Bowling Green Humane Society in Kentucky. After bringing him in from a neglect case they found he was heartworm positive, very HIGH heartworm positive. You see heartworms live inside an animals heart and literally eat away at the heart muscle until their hearts burst. It's not a fast acting disease, it takes time and kills an animal slowly and ultimately painfully. Slim did not die and easy death, and the biggest crime of all is that he didn't have to die.

Please provide your pet with year round, veterinary approved heart worm preventative. If your area has mosquito's you NEED to give your dog heart worm prevent!!!!

Not doing so could be slowly killing your pet! Ask Slim.....

Heartworms are a BIG Deal!
